The T35-CJCES has a solid Canadian sitka spruce top and a solid Mahogany back and sides. It's built in armrest bevel (also made of Mahogany) is not only beautiful to look at, but makes this instrument incredibly comfortable to play for long periods of time!
With a solid Canadian sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back & sides the Merida T-35CJCES lives up to the name of the series of which it is a part, Trajan. Entitled after one of the most exalted Roman emperors in history, the aim of the guitar is to be both powerful and dominant, which it achieves unflinchingly.
The body of the Merida Trajan T35CJCES is beautifully contoured and has been designed for the ultimate in playing comfort. A cutaway also provides easy access to the upper frets. A built in beveled “arm rest” makes the guitar more comfortable to play when you have your arm leaning on the side of the body, by providing a cut out of the body at just the right angle and in the right place. Because of its solid spruce top, the T35CJCES projects incredibly well. It’s bright, clear and even! The solid mahogany used for the back & sides adds even more projection, along with bringing extra attention to the guitar’s mid-range. Continuing the excellent choices of wood, the guitar has been supplied with a mahogany neck, topped by a rosewood fingerboard.
Elegant but strong the Merida Trajan T-35CJCES has a massive, unapologetic character. Equipped with Fishman OEM ISY-201 electronics the guitar not only gives you the option of hooking up to an amp but also offers a number of onboard controls. Alongside the contour and phase switches and volume rotary knob, is a built-in tuner with LED display.
Matching the quality materials and construction of the rest of the guitar, the Merida Trajan T-35CJCES Guitar features a Graphtech® Black Tusq XL nut and saddle and Der Jung® tuners. Ensuring each note played oozes with richness; the precision-engineered nut is constructed from a highly resonant material that couples string vibration to the neck. The nut is also impregnated with PTFE lubrication to ensure tuning stability.
